Cloth Edition and Fashion
Cloth Edition Printshop prints textile yardage for boutique fashion brands. An ideal print partner for fashion designers who are interested in small scale production, our hand printed yardage is printed with durable inks that stand up to repeated washing. We have worked with a number of fashion brands over the years, printing yardage for them to make into shirts, dresses, tote bags, and more.
Cloth Edition Printshop offers fashion designers flexibility in the scale and design for their printed yardage. We can work with small pieces of fabric, multiple kinds of fabric, and print different color-ways with minimal textile waste. Cloth Edition works to give the fashion designer the means to create the patterned textiles they need for their collection.
We do not print on T-shirts or any pre-made garments.
Artistic Projects and One-Off Prints
Cloth Edition Printshop welcomes collaborations with artists and designers for one of a kind print projects on fabric. Some of our more complex projects, these prints range from panels printed and stretched like a painting to reproductions of historical fabrics for heritage estates and institutions.
Custom projects bring together all the knowledge we have from years in the textile print world. Custom fabric, specialty pigments, and large scale imagery and construction are all on the table. Custom projects that require specialized sewing and construction are also possible, either with our in-house sewist or with our network of textile craftspeople. Examples of our work with artists has been shown in SFMOMA and the Hales Gallery in Dublin, Ireland, among others.
